Charity Sausage is operated by Charity Sausage Pty Ltd (ACN 701 009 583, ABN 42 701 009 583), referred to below as "we" or "us". It connects community fundraising groups ("operators"), venues, and supporters. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, not to intimidate.
You must be at least 16 to create an account. Provide accurate information — especially organisation names, ABNs, and venue addresses, which other people rely on. You're responsible for what you post and for activity on your account.
Don't use Charity Sausage to: misrepresent yourself or your organisation; solicit funds for causes that don't exist or that you don't represent; post content that is unlawful, offensive, or misleading; harass other users; or interfere with the service. Fundraising fraud is the one we care about most — we verify organisations where we can, and we remove accounts that abuse community trust.
Descriptions, photos, blurbs, and messages you post remain yours, but you give us permission to display them in the app and in shared content (that's how the app works). We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms — where practical we'll tell you why.
Every event screen has a report option, and you can hide any organisation's events from your view. We review every report. To escalate anything, email hello@charitysausage.com.au.
Card payments are processed by Stripe under their terms; operators receiving funds complete Stripe's identity verification. Charity Sausage facilitates payments but is not a party to the transaction between a supporter and an operator, and doesn't guarantee how funds are used — though misuse violates these terms and we'll act on it.
Volunteering arrangements are between you and the organisation you help. Be reliable; treat volunteers well. Charity Sausage records participation for recognition purposes but isn't responsible for what happens at events.
We provide Charity Sausage "as is", work hard to keep it running, and don't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update the app and these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.
To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law, whose guarantees we don't exclude), we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us to use the app (currently: nothing).
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
